Custom Programming Driving Expansion of Crummer’s Center for Management and Executive Education

The Management and Executive Education Center at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College continues to expand its reach, offering more customized programming for business leaders.

The Center for Management and Executive Education is well known throughout Central Florida for its flagship programs like the Mini-MBA Certification and the Project Management Professional Certification prep course – but over the past year, the Center has seen substantial growth in its custom programming offerings as organizations increasingly seek more catered, specialized education offerings.

Changes in the marketplace, evolving industry trends, and unforeseen competitive challenges are some of the driving catalysts behind organizations reaching out to the Center for Management and Executive Education for custom programming.

“We are always excited to individually tailor a program for our clients, across a variety of industries,” said Vanessa Kannemeyer, Director of the Center for Management and Executive Education. “As business challenges become more complex and diverse, clients are looking for education solutions that address their unique needs and foster the best learning outcomes for their organization.”

Some of the organizations working with the Center for Management and Executive Education on custom programs in 2020 include the Direct Selling Association, Zoll Medical Group, and the American Marketing Association.

Direct Selling Association Trains Executives

The Direct Selling Association reached out to Crummer’s Center for Management and Executive Education to create the “Strategic Optimization Program for Direct Selling Executives” program.

The first portion of the program was just recently held at the Crummer Graduate School of Business on January 28 and 29.

The program is intended to jumpstart the executives understanding of the direct selling channel’s challenges and opportunities, so they can hit the ground running and quickly contribute to company success.

The program was broken down into two components, in-person and online/video components. The in-person portion included guest speakers like Usana CEO Kevin Guest and Direct Selling Association hall of famer Alan Luce.

“This has been an exciting, immersive experience, and I highly recommend it to any company that has young executives who perhaps did not grow up in direct selling and need a broader exposure to the entire industry,” said Luce.

Companies with executives represented at this program included Amway, Herbalife and Usana.

“If you have people that are new in your company and want them exposed the wider world of direct selling and how it operates, or if you have up and coming executives that could use a broadening experience outside of just your own company, this is the program,” said Luce.

Zoll Medical Coporation Takes on Project Management

The Zoll Medical Corporation is partnering with the Center for Management and Executive Education to create a tailored project management course for its healthcare executives.

The project management course will revolve around the topics of why effective project management is essential for long-term business success, approaches to project management, and an overview of project lifecycles.

The course will be facilitated by Dr. Keenan Yoho, a professor of operations management at Crummer with over a decade of experience working with top level executives to lead change in both commercial and public-sector environments.

“We are fortunate to have a thought leader like Dr. Yoho facilitating this course,” said Kannemeyer. “His expertise in operations and supply chain will be invaluable for our executives from Zoll.”

American Marketing Association Summit

The American Marketing Association is holding their Marketing and Sales Summit at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.

For many organizations, the sales and marketing teams have a tough time operating as a cohesive unit – this summit is designed to address that.

The goal of the summit is to break down barriers in order to have a successful customer experience. This program is designed to be the leading offering of its kind to provide a hands-on summit to address and create an “actionable roadmap” to tackle the goal of marketing and sales alignment to optimize the customer experience.

Led by Dr. Greg Marshall, the Charles Harwood Professor of Marketing and Strategy at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, the summit will have every attendee leaving with their own customized individual action agenda to ensure the implementation of the summit.

“This session is ideal for marketers who are charged with working closely with sales organizations, as well as sales managers and leaders who want to move toward better synergies with marketing,” said Kannemeyer.
