Information Session

The Professional MBA (PMBA) Program at the Crummer Graduate School of Business is designed especially for the busy professional seeking to pursue an MBA in the evening on a part-time basis, without sacrificing quality. The PMBA Program offers working students the same quality courses taught by the same outstanding faculty as our nationally ranked full-time program formats.

The typical PMBA student:

  • Is 29 years of age.
  • Has seven years of work experience.
  • Works as a professional for a Central Florida corporation or non-profit organization.
  • Has a completed undergraduate degree, which may or may not be in business.
  • Has learned that you can't move into a management position without professional academic training.
PMBA Curriculum

You may enter the Professional MBA Program in either September or January. The first year begins with MBA 501 - Management Analysis covering case analysis, computer skills and team building activities. This course is important in formulating the team building skills that will be needed as the study groups are formed and begin working together. Following this intensive course, there are three 12-week terms each year, fall/spring/summer.

Each PMBA class moves through the core portion of the program as a unit, sharing the same educational experience. Individual participation in classroom discussions is emphasized, as well as working in group study teams. Your team of diverse professionals is assigned during orientation and remains together throughout your core courses. Teams meet outside of regular classes to prepare for group presentations, study for tests, and act as a support system helping members to succeed in accomplishing the necessary assignments.
